Library and Information Services for the Study of Consciousness in the 21st Century
Lecture notes, Global Transpersonal Symposium III, 2018
Abstract: This presentation will address the discipline of transpersonal studies from the point of view of library and information studies. Specifically, it will address the following two pressing questions: What are the special information needs of contemporary transpersonal thinkers and practitioners? And how may these be best served in the framework of modern library and information services? The resulting reflection will give an overview of modern information sources, institutions and services, address the challenges posed by transpersonal studies to common information providers as well as highlight the benefits of contemplating ways of establishing relevant future approaches and solutions to more specifically cater to the needs of the transpersonal community.
